NEVADA CITY FALL COLORS
Fall is one of my favorite seasons in Nevada City, it seems everywhere you turn you can find a pop of color. If you’ve never experienced the Gold Country fall color it’s a great time to get outside. If you are looking for some suggestions on where to go the Nevada City and Grass Valley Chambers have created a great fall colors self guided walking tour map, click here to download it. If you’re a tree enthusiast, don’t forget the Nevada City Tree Tour. Or if you want to go on a self guided photo walk, here’s a map of local photo fall color spots. And for those of you who want to go on a self guided fall colors photo walk, check out Kial James’ map of the most instagrammable spots.
FALL COLORS WALKS
Soak up the autumn colors, adventures await!
The stunning fall colors will make for a most beautiful backdrop on this walk through Nevada City’s historic cemeteries. Folk Trails Hiking Club will visit Pine Grove Cemetery on Red Dog Road. Our local cemeteries offer a glimpse into our past; we’ll learn more about some of the individuals who are buried here and pay our respects to those who have come before us.
The walk will be 3+ miles, mostly easy with a few hills. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, the event is free and welcome to all, including dogs. If you can’t make the guided visit, here’s a link with more information to take a self guided cemeteries tour in Nevada City.
