Halloween Month in Nevada City: 12 October Ideas | Inn Town Campground
Hello, October. This is the month we go all in on Halloween (and yes, we say it's our favorite month every single year). From the first of the month through Halloween night, the whole campground is decked out: skeletons, witch hats, spider webs and pumpkins everywhere you look. Bring the kids, bring a costume for the dog, and deck out your own site as much (or as little) as you like. One of our campers, Kathy, put it best in her Google review: "Go in October, they go all out for Halloween!" Grab your dates on our booking page while there's still room.

A few camp notes before the fun stuff. Friday and Saturday nights end with a Halloween movie under the stars (weather permitting). Our pool closes for the season in early October, so come early in the month if you want one last dip. The camp store is open and stocked with the usual essentials (marshmallows, ice, and at least one hoodie you'll talk yourself into). Our fire pits are propane (we're inside Nevada City limits, so no wood fires), which means the s'mores are still on, smoke-free.
This year Halloween falls on a Saturday, so we've planned a full day of fun for the kids right here at camp: a costume parade, a costume contest, trick-or-treating from site to site and a site decorating contest. Downtown Nevada City is just down the road for more trick-or-treating, and then it's back to camp for s'mores under the pines.
Halloween weekend is filling up. Our deluxe glamping tents and the yurt are already booked, but our classic glamping tents are still open: a real bed, fresh linens, a private porch and a propane fire pit under the pines, from $143 a night for Halloween weekend. No gear, no setup, just show up. Bringing the RV or pitching your own? Only a few RV sites are left, and tent sites start at $67. Our Halloween treat: book a glamping tent for Friday, October 30 or Saturday, October 31, and you'll find a pumpkin to carve and a little Halloween surprise waiting at your tent.
Can't make Halloween weekend? Come midweek and your second night is half off. Book two or more nights in a row, Sunday through Thursday between October 4 and 29, and your second night is half off on any site (even the deluxe glamping tents and the yurt). Just choose the October Weeknight Special when you book online. The decorations stay up all month, so any October stay comes with the spooky season.
