LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURE
Nevada City’s First Friday Art Walk is a beloved community tradition where art, music, and small-town charm come together. The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce took over the event from Cynthia Levesque, after years of work creating a thriving local scene. Local shops, tasting rooms, and eateries stay open late, featuring work from local artists and makers. Whether you’re discovering new talent or reconnecting with favorite artists, it’s a fun, casual way to celebrate creativity and support downtown Nevada City. The event is the first Friday of the summer months, but please note for 2025: June 6, July 11th, August 1st.
Many artists will be on site for meet & greets, live demos, or to offer interactive activities. The street fair on North Pine Street and Commercial feels more intimate and small town. Live music in front of The Fern is a great way to add entertainment to your evening.
