Bear Yuba Land Trust and Mountain Recreation are teaming up with community partners, Inn Town Campground to continue the series of Fireside Chats.
Ready to take your day hikes to the next level? Join Mountain Recreation’s camping guru for an informative evening covering the “Basics of Backpacking”. We will be covering topics like pre-trip planning, the 10 essentials, lightweight gear options, how to pack a pack, Leave No Trace practices and local backpacking opportunities.
We’ll have maps, outdoor gear, snacks and beverages for sale. Mountain Recreation will also have a special coupon for those who are looking to add to their gear list after the workshop. Other chats in the series will feature backpacking basics, camp food tips, and women in the outdoors.
