Folk Trails Hiking Club invites history and nature lovers of all-ages to join them on a walk/hike through historic Nevada City and its outlying neighborhoods. Led by Jesse Locks, a California Naturalist and founder of Folk Trails Hiking Club, these hikes are perfect for both residents and visitors looking for a deeper understanding and connection to this beautiful and unique corner of the world. We’ll walk to Hirschman Pond and learn about local history. The hike begins at the Outside Inn. Please park in downtown Nevada City and walk up to the motel. Please bring water, snacks if needed, proper footwear, dress in layers and of course, your camera. We’ll be walking during “magic hour” meaning perfect photos! If you have hiked with us before rest assure this one will be a little different than the others! The hike is free and open to anyone who’s interested in joining.
