May Camping Updates

Glamping Tent

Spring camping has arrived and the campground is a buzz with activity.  We are just about ready to open the pool (remember it’s not heated, so it’s refreshing at this time of the year).  It’s been fun to see more tent campers and have folks roasting s’mores and enjoying the outdoor movies.  While it feels like camping season started earlier this year, the weather hit 80 for a few days last week and everyone around town was happier.

If it’s 80 degrees, why not dive right into summer?  Other fun summer activities that are happening– the outdoor movies are back for Friday and Saturday evenings and mid-week by request.  The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum’s rail bus is also back on the tracks. Click here to see the time table and more info about the museum.  We’ve also restocked our camp store with some great new branded gear, some new Inn Town Campground goodies (we listened and got more stickers!), plus the camping essentials (craft beer, organic wine, chaco taco ice cream sandwiches, marshmallows, ice and travel mugs).  People are booking their camp trips, so while we keep trying to give folks updates on our Instagram Lives (click here for the various updates), we’ll let you know if any of the COVID modifications are removed for later in the camping season.

And if you’ve made it this far and are as excited about summer camping as we are– we’re excited to share we finally finished our two new glamping tents, meet G23 and G25.  For those who are curious on the location of the new tents, please feel free to check out the Inn Town Campground map.  We will be updating the photos as we put the finishing touches on the tents, but for now, we’re excited to release the bookings for these two tents.

To follow us along, make sure to check out our InstagramFacebook, Pinterest or Twitter feeds, if you’re looking for more local ideas, check out the Visit Nevada City Instagram feed or the Outside Inn’s blog.  Plus, every week I update our weekly events boards on Pinterest.  As always, we love hearing from our campers and look forward to seeing you round the campfire.
