Building a campground

Hello Campers!  While the blog hasn’t been super active, we promise that we’re sharing lots of behind-the-scenes updates on our Instagram feed and Facebook page.  Here is a quick round-up of where we’re at in building the Inn Town Campground.  MK & Sons Construction has been working hard on our main communal building, garage and 2 bathrooms.  The rough-in is complete and drywall & insulation have already started on two of the buildings.  It’s been really exciting to see the progress on a weekly basis.  Dan has been in the trenches installing hook-ups for the RV sites – very glad to have some kiwi gumboots to keep out the mud!

We get so excited when folks ask about when they can book their summer camping sites; we promise we’re making good progress on the back end too and will have reservations soon. The reason we have not set a grand opening is that there many moving parts that can affect the actual opening date; the weather being one of them. So, while things are currently on target to open in June, 2016, we are hoping to have online reservations up within the next couple of weeks for advance bookings starting in July to give us some flexibility if El Nino keeps up.

In other news, we’re doing a model call for some upcoming promotional photos, if you’re interested in coming to a camping photo shoot, click here, for details from photographer Katie White.

If you missed the camp store update, we now have ceramic Inn Town Campground coffee mugs for sale.

Happy New Year, our new years resolution is to open a campground!
