November Camping Season

Fall Glamping

Rving

Yeah November!  It’s been a great autumn here at Inn Town Campground, the colors around town are town are truly spectacular.  We’ve had a lot of happy campers, numerous repeat customers and plenty of roasted marshmallows over the gas fire pits.  It’s always great when a guest leaves and then promptly rebooks their next adventure (and yes, people are booking for October 2023 already!).

Fall Colors

Now, we’re looking forward to a final burst of fall colors (the campground’s dogwoods pop a bright yellow in early November) and the onset of the holiday season.   You can hear us chat about this on our monthly Instagram live update. So as we transition to cooler temps and longer nights, it doesn’t mean the camping season is over at the Inn Town Campground.  We are open through the end of the year and The Commons is a warm, cozy place to share a meal, read a book or just relax while you’re visiting the campground and Nevada City.  You can still glamp in November, remember each glamping bed has a heated mattress pads to keep you warm at night, but definitely check the forecast and make sure it works for you.  We are taking tent and RV bookings through New Year’s Eve, with a brief winter break and then back open for RV sites mid January.

Fall Glamping

For those of you who don’t own a RV, but want to give it a try here are a few suggestions.  If you’re interested in renting an RV and going on a road trip, try one of these outfitters: Sierra Teardrops, TravelLite RV RentalsOutdoorsy, RV Share, Rockin RV Rentals or Cruise America.  We love how many campers we get on their shakedown mission, whether it’s a new travel trailer or a new to them camper, it’s great to be the place where the camping fun begins.

The holidays are a great time to come camping with us.  We’re open through both Thanksgiving and Christmas, so if you have too many family members and need a few extra options, we’re happy to play host.  Please note that our camp store is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days, so bookings must be made in advance.

For more local music and holiday art shows check out the Miners Foundry, The Center for the Arts, Music in the Mountains or  ASiF Studios.

Finally, if you’re looking for a holiday gift idea, we offer Gift Certificates online and over the phone.  Or you can book a future site, we’ve got a great selection of handmade cards and branded gifts, if you wanted to put together a basket, if your idea of a holiday gift is a future camping trip.  We take reservations up to a year in advance, so it’s definitely not too early to think about summer of 2023.
