Holiday Camping
Who can believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? Last weekend the Inn Town Campground was lucky enough to host a Friendsgiving, with 18 friends gathered around the picnic tables with their BBQed and smoked turkey and fixings. For those who are looking to visit us for the holiday weekend, it’s the last weekend the glamping tents are open till spring, book now! Just a friendly reminder that the RV sites are open year round, so if you want to bring your travel trailer or motorhome and come camping with us over the winter, we’d love to have you.
Interested in joining our Inn Town Campground photo walk? We’ve teamed up with Kial James, from Nevada City Scenics, to host a photo walk around the campground. The event is free and welcome to all photography levels, so stop by, we’ve got some fun door prizes to give away too!
November and December are full of amazing holiday events. Mark your calendars for the Nevada City Victorian Christmas celebrations: December 3rd, 10th, 13th, 17th and 20th. We’re offering a special discount code, book now to take advantage of our 20% off your Victorian Christmas reservation.
And for those of you who read last month’s blog post about the Girl Camper weekend, click here to listen to the podcast about building the campground. Many thanks to Janine for traveling out from New Jersey to host the event and share the Inn Town Campground with her network of girl campers. Click here to read Jen’s blog post about her Nevada City weekend on her blog Lita’s World.
And if you missed us on Good Day Sacramento earlier this month, click here and here to see the spots. Many thanks to Bethany for showcasing our campground and Nevada City to the CBS network audience.
Earlier this month Dan and I had the opportunity to attend the ARVC (National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds) conference in Raleigh, North Carolina. Above are a few photos from our campground tour, seminars and expo. We both came away with some great ideas on some new and improved programs and systems at the campground. Plus, it was an added bonus to meet and chat with other campground managers and owners. I will admit that most of them thought we were crazy to have built a campground, but at the end of the day we’re all in the hospitality industry to create unique experiences for our campers. Look for updates here when we launch our new app, expand our 2018 events and finally settle the debate on whether the Inn Town Campground needs a Tiny House.
To follow us along, make sure to check out our Instagram, Facebook or Twitter feeds, if you’re looking for more local ideas, check out the Visit Nevada City Instagram feed or the Outside Inn’s blog. Plus, every week I update our weekly events boards on Pinterest. As always, we love hearing from our campers and look forward to seeing you round the campfire.
