Airstream RVing

Fall RVing at the Inn Town CampgroundYeah November!  It’s been a great autumn here at Inn Town Campground.  Although we really want the rain, our weather is still warm and sunny, perfect for camping.  We’ve had a lot of happy campers, numerous repeat customers and plenty of roasted marshmallows over the gas fire pits.

Fall Glamping

Now, we’re looking forward to a final burst of fall colors (the campground’s dogwoods pop a bright yellow in early November) and the onset of the holiday season.  So as we (hopefully) transition to cooler temps and longer nights, it doesn’t mean the camping season is over at the Inn Town Campground.  We are open year-round and The Commons is a warm, cozy place to share a meal, watch a movie or just relax while you’re visiting the campground and Nevada City.  Our RV and tent campsites will be available throughout the winter, but our glamping tents will close at the end of November.  If you want a last minute chance to glamp this year, remember each bed has an added heated mattress pads to keep you warm at night. However, please remember that the tents are not heated.  You can always come warm up by the fire place in The Commons living room or rent a gas fire pit for your individual campsite.  And to help inspire you last minute fall adventure, we’ve added a special for tent and glamping tents for the rest of November, book any 2 nights and get 25% off your second night (valid only on new reservations to stay in November 2019).  Thanksgiving at the campground anyone?

For those of you who don’t own a RV, but want to give it a try here are a few suggestions.  You can check out our Retro RV, which is already set up at the campground and ready for you to camp.  Or, if you’re interested in renting an RV and going on a road trip, try one of these outfitters: American Tear Drop, Sierra Tear Drops, Discover RV, TravelLite RV RentalsOutdoorsy, RV Share, Rockin RV Rentals or Cruise America.

Inn Town Camground Christmas and Holiday Decorations

The holidays are a great time to come camping with us.  We’re open through both Thanksgiving and Christmas, so if you have too many family members and need a few extra options, we’re happy to play host.  Please note that our camp store is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.

November & December Events:

ARVC Educational Seminar

Dan and I recently attended the ARVC National Conference for RV Park and Campground owners.  We enjoy hearing what other campgrounds in the country are doing and what’s up-and-coming in the industry.  I’m proud to say that I got the opportunity to present in one of the educational seminars, which was a great opportunity to share some of our learning opportunities with other industry professionals.  For more photos from the convention and expo check out the gallery I put on Facebook.  We also toured campgrounds, took a scenic tour of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway and checked out a glamping campground in Asheville, North Carolina.  For more photos from our adventures, check out this post on Instagram.

Pickle Pottery Mugs

Finally, if you’re looking for a holiday gift idea, we offer Gift Certificates online and over the phone.  Or you can book a future site, we’ve got a great selection of handmade cards and branded gifts, if you wanted to put together a basket, if your idea of a holiday gift is a future camping trip.  We take reservations up to a year in advance, so it’s definitely not too early to think about summer of 2020.  Vintage Trailer
