Spring Camping at Inn Town Campground
Spring camping has arrived, thankful for the sunshine (even if it’s interrupted by pockets of rain). We’re all looking forward to spending some time outside. If you’re looking for a last minute spring break trip, come camping! It’s been fun to see more tent campers and have folks roasting s’mores and enjoying the dry weather. The daffodils are blooming at camp and the tulips are just starting to bloom. We’re super excited to say we’re back in the running for the USA Today 10Best RV Park Campground, you can vote for us once a day till May 5th.
Some of the top questions we are getting at the moment….
Are you open? Is there snow? Is the pool open? Yes we’re open, thankfully there was no snow (but can you still go spring skiing up the hill) and no, the pool isn’t open yet. The pool is not heated, so it depends on the weather. Normally we open it mid-May, but we’ll continue to monitor the weather and adjust as needs be.
Are you doing outdoor movies? Yes, on weekends (weather permitting) and by request during the week. We’re just waiting for that break in the weather, but it’s coming, so we’re excited. And we take suggestions for must haves on our list of movies, we’ll check our movie license and add popular requests.
What is glamping? Our glamping tents are canvas walled tents with a bed, linens, electricity, heated mattress pads, fan, deck and picnic table. We’ve made it easy to just show up and camp, no setting the tent up! But please note, our communal indoor kitchen is open, so you can bring your camp stove, cooler and a way to make coffee outside or use one of the coffeemakers in the kitchen, your choice. The other question we get a lot in the shoulder season is are the glamping tents heated and the answer to that question is only the larger family tents. We always recommend a gas fire pit if you think you’re going to be a bit chilly and the heated mattress pads (in all of the glamping tents) are a great addition.
Can we come check out the campground? Yes, but please stop by the camp store upon arrival and say hello, during business hours only.
Should we do a shakedown for our new RV? Of course! The Inn Town Campground happily welcomes newbie campers and their rigs, it’s a great way to practice your camping skills, most likely closer to home and get ready for the camping season.
We’ve also had a number of guests with EVs, if you’re taking a camping trip with your electric vehicle, check out our resource page of places to charge, the Inn Town Campground does not have any charging options at camp.
If you’re looking for a few ideas for things to do in spring, here are several, but don’t forget the Inn Town Campground annual Easter Egg hunt, Saturday, April 19th, 3:30pm, BYO basket, welcome to all campers.
