Spring Glamping at the Inn Town Campground

Spring camping has arrived and the campground is a buzz with activity.  It’s been fun to open the pool, see more tent campers and have folks roasting s’mores and enjoying the outdoor movies.  After a very wet winter you can feel the excitement over these warm spring days; the weather hit 80 for a few days last week and everyone around town was smiling.

We’ve got a few Inn Town Campground events this month– our monthly Folk Trails Hiking Club meet up is Thursday, May 9th, meet at the campground at 4pm for a free local history walk focusing on trees.  The spring Nevada City photo walk is right around the corner, for those who are interested in joining the meet up, myself and Kial James, Nevada City Scenics, will be hosting the photo meet up here at the Inn Town Campground on Sunday, May 19th at 3pm.

If it’s 80 degrees, why not dive right into summer?  Dan has been busy getting the pool ready and it’s now open for the season!  Other fun summer activities that are happening– the outdoor movies are back for Friday and Saturday evenings and mid-week by request.  The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum’s rail bus is also back on the tracks. Click here to see the time table and more info about the museum.  Mother’s Day weekend will be the kick off for our kids craft series, stay tuned for more details (we’ve got some fun color-your-own Inn Town Campground pillowcases and backpacks, plus a few other goodies).  We’ve also restocked our camp store with some great new branded gear, some new Nevada City goodies, magnets, tote bags, plus the camping essentials (craft beer, organic wine, It’s It ice cream sandwiches, marshmallows, ice and travel mugs).

And if you’ve made it this far and are as excited about summer camping as we are, we’ve got a special spring fling special.  Dust off the camping gear and make a new reservation Monday-Thursday to camp with us in the next 2 weeks (May 6-17) and we’ll give you 20% off, valid for all new camping reservations (tent camping, glamping, RV sites and the Riverside Retro).  We want to help encourage you to kick off the camping season, so take a spontaneous week-day getaway and come hang out at the Inn Town Campground.

We’re excited to be using CampersApp, if you’re interested in what’s happening at the campground and around the community, download the app.  To follow us along, make sure to check out our InstagramFacebook, Pinterest or Twitter feeds, if you’re looking for more local ideas, check out the Visit Nevada City Instagram feed or the Outside Inn’s blog.  Plus, every week I update our weekly events boards on Pinterest.  As always, we love hearing from our campers and look forward to seeing you round the campfire.
