Camp Coffee California Camping

It’s camping season!  Since we’re in the business of building a campground, we’ve made an effort to get outside and go camping more often.   This spring we made a resolution to try more camping closer to home, so we’ve been to Rollins Lake, Scotts Flat Lake, Union Flat, Lakes Basin and Willow Creek Campground, ranging in distance from Nevada City from 15 minutes to an hour and 45 minutes.  What’s great is once you dust off the cobwebs in the trailer and wash the sleeping bags, it makes a quick getaway seem very doable. Our vintage 1957 Cardinal trailer is ready for another season on the road.  While we wouldn’t necessarily call ourselves camping pros.   So far this year we’ve definitely forgotten plenty of items, realized we’ve got a leak somewhere in the trailer, tried and failed at a Dutch oven dessert and burnt a few marshmallows.  The important part is that we’re getting outside and enjoying ourselves.

And thanks to our friends at RV Family Travel Atlas for the fun new t-shirts, we took them on a virtual rally last weekend and TeeSpring wrote up a nice piece about us, click here to read it.  And it was great to be a sponsor of the Bear Yuba Land Trust Celebration of Trails Day event, click here to see more photos, I enjoyed the opportunity to sit and chat with other outdoor enthusiasts and connect with some of the great local organizations and businesses who support trails in our community.

We’ll be back soon with an update of the building of the Inn Town Campground, but check out our Instagram feed for a preview, next step is moving dirt!  2015-06-04_0003
