May Camping Season

Glamping Tent

RV Camping

Spring camping has arrived and the campground is a buzz with activity.  We are getting closer to open the pool (remember it’s not heated, so it’s refreshing at this time of the year), but kicking off pool season this weekend.  It’s been fun to see more spring tent campers and have folks roasting s’mores and enjoying the outdoor movies.  It feels like camping season started earlier this year, the weather is suppose to be in the low 80’s this weekend!  So, while I say this every month, but now certainly seems like a great time to go camping.  We have added additional information on our booking engines for different camp sites, as we’ve had a lot of roof top tents, #vanlife campers and folks who are looking to camp with a tiny teardrop trailer.  Depending on how you camp we’ve got additional information on the individual sites online to help you choose the right site for you, or you can certainly email or give us a call and ask for our recommendations.

It’s been great to have school groups, friends gathering for mountain bike rides, family gatherings, Easter celebrations.   Other fun summer activities that are happening– the outdoor movies are back for Friday and Saturday evenings and mid-week by request.  The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum’s rail bus is also back on the tracks. Click here to see the time table and more info about the museum.  We’ve also restocked our camp store with some great new branded gear, some new Inn Town Campground goodies (we listened and got more stickers, magnets and more kid toys), plus the camping essentials (craft beer, organic wine, It’s It ice cream sandwiches, marshmallows, ice and travel mugs).   We’re excited to continue to showcase new and fun camp goodies, stay tuned to our social media accounts for more ideas on all the things you didn’t know you needed.

We have been trying to stay current on our Instagram Lives (click here for the various updates), if you want to check in on news from camp.

Folks have asked about the Commons and the kitchen, just so you know all facilities are fully open this year, hours adjust with the season, but on the weekends the kitchen is open to campers between 7:30am and 9:00pm.

4th of July Parade

We know folks are trying to plan their future trips and it’s been great to have so many community events back on the schedule this year.  Here are a few of the upcoming things to plan for….

And it’s great to see so many live music events, if you’re looking for a round up of concerts and events check out: The Center for the Arts, Miners Foundry Cultural Center, Nevada Theatre, InConcert Sierra, Music in the Mountains or even some of the smaller venues like Crazy Horse Saloon in downtown Nevada City.
