Camping Season

Vintage trailer camping

Summer is here!  It was such a delight to have a full house for Memorial Day weekend to help kick off the summer camping season.  We loved hosting so many families with young kids, all of them enjoying the new swimming pool, the kid outdoor craft session, the corn hole games and outdoor movies.  In May we also kicked off the first of a series of Fireside Chats with Bear Yuba Land Trust, so great to connect with so many locals who are interested in participating in the 52 hike challenge.  Thanks to those who traveled from near and far to join the first of our summer Folk Trails Hiking Club Nevada City history walks.

Here’s an overview of some of the upcoming events at the campground.

And for those of you who plan ahead, mark your calendars for the Yoga Dive Glamping Weekend and the Girl Camper weekend later this fall.  We’re also excited to working with the Nevada City Film Festival for a stay and play package (September 8th and 9th), so stayed tuned for more information on that fun package.

We restocked our store and are excited to have expanded our local craft beer selection to include Three Forks Bakery & Brewery Oak Tree Pale Ale and Emerald Pool IPA, in addition to the every popular Ol Republic Clouds of Jupiter and Dead Canary.  We’re also carrying a number of local items including Pickle Pottery mugs, Bourbon Hill Bees honey, Folk Trails Hiking Club t shirts, Cello Chocolate, Smith Vineyard wine and Bear Yuba Land Trust trail cards.

There are so many reasons to come visit us this summer.   If you haven’t already booked your campsite, we’ve got plenty of availability week days, whether it’s a staycation or a holiday.  We just added a mid-week tent camping special, check out the online reservations for more information.  If you are traveling with kids, check out this great giveaway over on the Outside Inn’s blog (**includes a free night of camping at the Inn Town Campground**).
