Summer Camp Vibes

Van camping

Hello campers!  It’s been busy here at the Inn Town Campground!  A lot of California campers are getting their fill of summer heat after a cold, wet winter.  In the last month we’ve been honored to host family reunions, friends and families celebrating weddings, numerous birthday campers and lots and lots of children.  The South Yuba river is finally at the perfect level for those refreshing summer dips in a beautiful California swimming hole.  For those that don’t want to venture to the river, the campground pool is a delightfully refreshing and happening place too.   We even got a visit from a local mermaid the other week.  For those that like weird statistics, our top camp store sales include ice, ice cream, beer & wine and our fun Pickle Pottery custom ceramic mugs.

As the summer enters the last inning we have several activities and events on the books.  We’re still showing movies on our outdoor movie screen on Fridays & Saturdays, plus craft time on Saturday afternoons.  We’re also continuing the Bear Yuba Land Trust Fireside chats where you can come learn about Camp Cuisine with Nick from Mountain Recreation on Wednesday, August 16th. Finally, we are hosting the next Folk Trails Hiking Club hike on Thursday, September 21st.

There are also many amazing Nevada County events on the books for the later part of the summer; below are just a few.

Finally, if you’re planning ahead, check out our Nevada City Film Festival Stay and Play package (September 7-15) or the Girl Camper weekend (October 20-21).

Thanks to all of the friendly guests, friends and family who have come camping with us in the last year.  It’s been great to share some of your stories and experiences on social media; feel free to tag us on InstagramFacebook or Twitter if you come camping with us (#InnTownCampground).  We love that we’ve had numerous repeat campers; we’re so excited to be a part of your Nevada City experience.
