Airstream in the snow

Happy January Campers!  Nevada City was blessed with a dusting of snow earlier this week and we’re gearing up for a big rain storm this weekend.  While we all enjoy the winter wonders, it’s time to think about the upcoming camping season.  At the Inn Town Campground we’re using this time to get a few projects done.  Dan has been building custom doors for the main bathroom blocks and brainstorming new flooring options for the glamping tents.  Jenny, in the front office, has been working on a summer activities calendar for kids activities and family friendly projects.  In addition, we have continued tree work, pool construction, plus planning for an additional bbq area and improved landscaping.  We’ve also been busy with upcoming event planning and celebrating a shout out in the February issue of Sunset magazine!

We’ve talked to plenty of happy campers who are already organizing upcoming camping trips, family gatherings, yoga retreats, wedding guests or planning to attend one of the countless Nevada City events.  So, if Santa didn’t give you a gift certificate to come camping or glamping, or even if he did, now is a great time to think about making plans for camping.  Remember, we have a warm cozy hang out space in The Commons that makes winter and spring camping comfortable and relaxing.  Our glamping tents will reopen in March, for those who want to do some early spring camping.

A light dusting of snow makes the Inn Town Campground sparkle.  Don’t worry, it never lasts long in Nevada City.

And we’re always excited when we get some press, check out the NBC Bay Area Wintry Camping, Style Mag 2017 To Do List, Red Tricycle’s article on Victorian Christmas, a shout out on the Wild & Scenic Film Festival news section and a plug from The Union on the Engineer’s Association of Nevada County Project of the Year.  We’re excited to say we’ll be back on the RVFTA podcast this coming week, look for their episode on tips for Campground Owners on Thursday (Jan 12th) and a follow up Facebook Live chat on Friday (Jan 13th).

Just want to know when the airstream “office” will be available to rent. We don’t have room to own one, but would love to rent it.
